So, James & Jaden love to skateboard everyday. James started getting into it and like any good little brother that wants to do everything big brother does... Jaden followed right behind.
Here is what I have noticed:
Jaden is not afraid of anything (I'm guessing because of his age) and therefore tries more things than James does. James eventually gets it, and knows about more tricks than Jaden (for now)... but things like skating down a huge ramp or up walls... Jaden isn't afraid of being hurt. So he tries and conquers first.
Yeah, he'll be the one broken more than James (big heavy sigh), but I kinda think it's cool that Jaden might be able to do something better than James. James is the oldest which already makes everything in life, according to Jaden, NOT FAIR. James has the personality that everyone is drawn to; Jaden is a little more reserved. School comes easier to James. (In Jaden's defense, he is the youngest kid in his class.)
Do any of you notice that with your younger ones? …Tries things with less fear, and it turns out to be a good thing... like skateboarding? Happy that the lil one can finally, maybe be better than the bigger brother he looks up to?

I notice the younger one is more competitive and yes maybe not a little more fearless. Oh gosh, wonder what that means for William!!
They look very cool together! Brotherly love is so awesome!
I am always JAMMING to music when I come to your blog ;)
I think this is true (I'm the baby out of three girls) re: the younger sibling(s)! I'm sure the boys are happy to be visiting family and you are enjoying some down time from mom duties! (We all need that!)
i'm always impressed by coordination. i can barely stand upright.
yeah. i have one word for you:
KEOLA.
he validates your theory and then some.
James told me that you said that he knew more tricks and Jaden was more fearless. And that Jaden could be really good if he knew some of the tricks that James knows. So, I asked him, why not teach him then James? You're big brother, do it. We talked about it for a minute. He tried to teach him one. Jaden tried. He did ok, but got frustrated. Wanted to go ride the big metal BIKE RAMP (that scared the mess out of me when he was on it... nothing like sending kids home broken). James sometimes needs a little coaxing to be nice for a moment, but it's totally evident he loves the mess out of Jaden. I think he may actually even secretly want Jaden to be better than him at it. ;)
I can't wait to get pics back from the skatepark and rr tracks. I hope she got something good of buttface!
I <3 ur kids.
