the good & the bad

Upon getting to the office this morning, I came across a good /bad scenario I thought I’d share with you all…

Good - new casual Fridays at office, everyone has on jeans, sneakers, etc.
Bad - no one bothered to tell me this lil tid bit of info (and/or I didn’t listen, umm, one of those) and now I wasted a good outfit on a Friday.

Which made me ponder, hmm, what else could fit into this category. I came across a few in the following hours… and then pondered aloud with friends who came up with their own, all included below.
Here goes:

Good - Free coffee at work, save money from daily starbucks run, awesome.
Bad - It tastes like crap. Well not crap, cuz not sure how that tastes, but not strong enough at all. Starbucks, I’m coming back, sorry I left you.

Good - Marathon Training = get in great shape, lose weight & tone up fast and efficiently, healthy way to spend your free time, get to be outside, finisher medals are awesome, provides sense of accomplishment
Bad - Ugh… you have to actually run. Weird, right?

Good - Living alone (sans boyfriend/husband), drink/eat/wear whatever I want at any hour of the day, watch whatever I want to watch on TV…ahh, Freedom!
Bad - Bills come and I wonder "ummm…who's going to pay for half of this??"

Good - Eating Healthy - more energy, weight control, better hair/skin, more optimistic personality, may help avoid things like cancer or heart disease, yada yada.
Bad - 1 trip to the produce department at the grocery store = $45 = a bunch of veggies and fruit that I have roughly 2 ½ days to consume before it goes bad = a nice, big salad… and yet nothing to actually make for dinner… and, in the end, umm… Burger King, anyone?

FIGHT THE KING! DON'T DO IT!! you can never have too much salad. one bite of the whopper and you're already in debt to the cholesterol gods.

the things you come up with...lol! My father-in-law is a part of a co-op and he pays like $10 per month and we get a whole box of fresh fruit and veggies. If you got that stuff at the store you would have spent over $30. We still make the Sonic run occasionally though!

These were great!!!

Maybe your job can start ordering Starbux by the bulk? :)

Keep up with the workout plan. One of us has to work on the belly and as you can see, I'm falling way behind in that category! LOL

Have a great week!

Free coffee always manages to taste horrible right!? =( And I am notorious for getting too much fresh fruit at the store all at one time!! I usually end up using my juicer just so that they won't go bad...that's a thought!
